Cinematic Acting Lab

A yearly path for curious, passionate people, or for anyone who wants to explore their own emotional side and their confidence with their body. Open to children, teens and adults — this is not a professional academy. We welcome students from across the province of Catanzaro and from Calabria.

8–13 years
A four-step path from play to camera.
Creativity and listening
Theatre games, movement and music to explore imagination, body and voice, learning to listen to themselves and the group.
Character and rehearsal
Analysis of scenes from films and series, character building and first rehearsals, with costumes, props and teamwork.
Mini set and camera
Building small sets and taking first shots in front of the camera, to experience a real "action!" moment.
Casting prep
How to approach, read and interpret a casting, step by step.
Teens' Lab
14–17 years
A four-step path from body work to camera.
Body and emotional training
Breathing, body awareness and listening to your scene partner, with music guiding focus and movement.
Scene analysis and rehearsal
Scenes from films and series worked on in pairs: table reads, subtext and character building, across body, voice, costume and make-up.
Filming with the camera
A final project shot on camera, learning on-camera technique and frame awareness.
Casting prep
How to approach, read and interpret a casting, step by step.
Adults' Lab
18+
A four-step path from body work to the film set.
Body and emotional training

A progressive path: from working on yourself to interpreting a character.
Awareness
Knowing and accepting yourself, letting go of judgment.

Physical presence, breath, stage space.

Accessing and managing your own emotional side.

Building and interpreting a role.

Separate classes by age group, one weekly session.

What you take home
- During the year: recording short scenes drawn from films or TV series.
- At the end of the path: a closing party open to the public — a cinema evening with food, conviviality and a screening of the students' work.

A celebration, open to everyone
The journey doesn't end in the classroom: we celebrate it all together, students, families and the public.
End-of-Year Party
At the end of the year we throw an evening party with food and drinks, open to the whole public: the highlight is the big-screen premiere of the scenes shot throughout the year. Only the work of 2026/2027 Program students is screened.
